Membership and Account Registration

To join the site to access the latest listings and information, and to complete a transaction as either an Owner or a Renter (the Services), you need to Sign Up and create a Book My Boat account. This is done from the homepage.

Signing Up requires you to create a personal profile that includes key personal and contact information. Owners accounts must be activated by Book My Boat before you can progress to listing a boat.

You may not have more than two active Book My Boat Accounts – one active as an Owner and one active as a Renter.

You agree to provide and maintain accurate, current and complete information.

Book My Boat reserves the right to suspend or remove your Book My Boat Account/s if you create more than one Owner or one Renter Accounts or if any information provided during the registration process or thereafter is deemed to be false, misleading or out dated.

You are responsible for safeguarding your password.  You agree that you will contact Book My Boat if you observe or witness any unauthorised activity on your account. Book My Boats accounts are non-transferable.


Member Age Restrictions

The Services available on the Book My Boat website are intended solely for persons who are 18 or older. Anyone under 18 is not allowed to access or use the Services.

By accessing or using the Services you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older.

The minimum age to rent may vary between Listings dependent on the Owners special rules. Owners are entitled to increase the minimum age for people wishing to rent their boat.


Your Authorisations

You authorise Book My Boat, directly or through third parties, to make any inquiries we consider necessary to help verify your identity or prevent fraud. This may include asking you to provide a form of photo identification, your date of birth, other information, requiring you to confirm access to the email address provided, payment methods or payout methods; or attempting to screen your information against third party databases. Book My Boat reserves the right to close, suspend, or limit access to the payment services in the event we are unable to obtain or verify any of this information.



Website Content

You are solely responsible for anything that you upload onto Book My Boat (your Content). By providing Content, you warrant that:

If you provide Content when using the Services, you grant Book My Boat an unrestricted, perpetual and irrevocable royalty-free right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform and display such Content for any purpose Book My Boat deems necessary.

Book My Boat is not responsible for monitoring your access or use of the Services or Content or to review or edit any Content but has the right to do so for the purpose of operating the Services, to ensure your compliance with these Terms.

Book My Boat reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to suspend, disable or remove access to any Content that Book My Boat, at its sole discretion, considers to be objectionable for any reason, in violation of these Terms or otherwise harmful to the Services.


Membership Cancellation and Termination

We may, in our sole discretion and without liability to you, with or without cause, with or without prior notice and at any time:

Upon termination we will promptly pay you for any outstanding amounts that we determine, acting reasonably, we owe you.

You can cancel your Book My Boat Account at any time by contacting us. Please note that if your Book My Boat Account is cancelled, we do not have an obligation to delete or return to you any Content you have posted to the Services, including, but not limited to, any reviews or Feedback.


Stripe – Online Payment Processor

Payment processing services on Book My Boat are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the “Stripe Services Agreement”). Owners and Renters agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement and authorise Book My Boat to share with Stripe transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe.


Payment Processing Errors and Refunds

Book My Boat will take steps to rectify any payment processing errors that occur. This may involve debiting or crediting the same credit card that the payment error occurred from. Refunds and chargebacks can take up to 5-10 days to be processed by Stripe.


Transaction Payments Processing

Payment of the Rental Fee, less the Service Fees and any other charges, will be made to the Owners nominated bank account after the Owner has marked the Rental as completed unless the Renter has lodged a dispute. If the Renter has lodged a dispute then Book My Boat will follow its Dispute Resolution Policy prior to releasing the funds.

Book My Boat is not liable for funds sent to incorrect account details advised to Book My Boat by an Owner or Renter.
